The Device
The goal of this project was to create a device that a user can interact with, which responds to the user's inputs and teaches them some way they can be more environmentally friendly. We chose to encourage our users bike rather than drive and also to be environmentally friendly through advocacy.
Our game is centered around a biker who you help navigate to the store, then to school, and finally to a protest for environmental advocacy. The user must complete these activities before the sun sets (moves from the left all the way to the right). The device requires you to crank a bike pedal to move the biker, using the left and right turn signals to orient him toward whatever location the biker is at. Air blows in your face proportionally to how fast you are cranking to simulate biking. Below is a demonstration of how the game is completed. |
